Smith opened singles play with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Sullivan. Silver fell in straight sets against Tour, 6-3, 6-4. COACH'S CORNER
Quotes from head coach John Mercer

I thought we played a tough match. Give credit to Maryland. They've had a lot of success this year and are very physical. Hopefully this prepares us for our upcoming road trip.
