CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. -- Senior Megan Wolons completed her stellar Marshall diving career Wednesday at the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships.

"I had a heck of a ride," Wolons said. "My teammate, Rachel [Sleichter], phrased it best the other day. She said, 'Enjoy it all! The good and the bad because you love this sport with your entire heart.'"

Wolons finished 16th on Platform. She was also 47th on 3-meter springboard and 32nd on 1-meter springboard.

"It's a great accomplishment to compete at this level," head diving coach Tony Cortright said. "It's a difficult competition to prepare for, especially with the number of competitors that leave a lot of time between dives. It's an extremely long battle. Megan has been a great competitor and it's been an honor to coach her, and our three other graduating senior divers who finished their careers at conference. While it's sad to see them move on to the next chapter in their life, we do have a bright future with our diving program."

Wolons finishes her career as Marshall's most decorated diver. She holds all three diving school records and was Conference USA Champion on 3-meter springboard in 2016.

Marshall will finish their swimming season at the NCAA Championships March 15-18. Freshman Sirena Rowe will compete in three events at the competition in Indianapolis.
