HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The date for Marshall University's annual Homecoming game has been set for the Oct. 14 game against Old Dominion, the school announced Tuesday.
The Thundering Herd has won two of three all-time meetings with ODU, including a 27-7 decision in Joan C. Edwards Stadium in 2015.
The contest will be the program's 116th Homecoming as Marshall has compiled a 62-45-8 record all-time for this occasion.
"With the medieval theme of 'Overthrow the Monarchs' guiding this year's Homecoming festivities, the office of Alumni Relations is making plans for some very special activities during our Homecoming celebration this fall," said Matt Hayes, Marshall University's Executive Director of Alumni Relations. "Details will be made public very soon so follow us on social media, check our website at www.herdalum.com and watch your email inbox for updates."
The time of the game will be announced at a later date once Conference USA's television partners have completed their selections.
Under head coach Doc Holliday, Marshall has won four consecutive Homecoming games and six of seven contests, overall, during his tenure.
