Thundering Herd earns weekly honor
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Maddie Young was named Conference USA Diver of the week Wednesday by the league office following an impressive performance last weekend at the Zippy Invitational. This is her third award of this season.
Young continued to shine for the Thundering Herd with two competitive scores on both the 1-meter (193.55) and 3-meter (212.90) diving events, placing in the top 15 with her solid scores. This was her second-straight excellent showing as she earned a spot to compete in the NCAA 1-meter Zone Diving Championship by virtue of her performances at Liberty University two weeks ago.
Marshall will return to competition on January 12 against Vanderbilt University in Huntington.
