Gore Named Second-Team All-Conference USA

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall junior Shayna Gore has been named second-team All-Conference USA for the second straight year, the league office announced Monday.

Gore, a Logan native, finished the regular season second in the league in scoring (19.6) and 3-pointers per game (3.0), third in free throw percentage (86.3), eighth in 3-point percentage (40.0) and 13th in steals (1.7).

She is already Marshall’s all-time leader in 3-pointers (207) and is fifth in scoring (1,439 points), sixth in 3-point percentage (35.9), eighth in field goals (499), 13th in free throws made (234) and 15th in steals (139). She is also just outside the top 15 at Marshall with 215 assists.

Her 86 3-pointers this season were also a single-season program record.

She is Marshall’s seventh second-team All-C-USA selection, following Sikeetha Shepard-Hall (2006), Modupe Ishola (2007), Tynikki Crook (2011), Chukwuka Ezeigbo and Leah Scott (2015) and Gore herself (2017).
