HARRISONBURG, Va. –  Marshall's swimming and diving team finished its last dual competition of the regular season, falling at James Madison by the score of 158-79.

Marshall's 200 Freestyle relay came out on top to end the meet on a high note with a first place finish in a time of 1:36.56. Catherine Bendziewicz, who was part of the relay team, also earned two more wins in the 200 Freestyle (1:50.78) and 100 Freestyle (51.43), just missing a pool record by two-tenths of a second in the latter event.

Marshall's Caroline Wanner (200 IM, 2:10.26) and Hannah Robins (100 Butterfly, 56.98) both had impressive performances as well with two second place finishes.

"It was a long weekend of competing for our team and they handed it well," said Marshall head coach Ian Walsh. "This was our third session and we saw some of our strongest performances. Catherine walked away with two wins, missing one of the pool records by two-tenths of a second. Hannah had a strong showing in the 100 Butterfly and our divers competed really well, surpassing their season bests posted yesterday."

"The staff is proud of this group and will continue to fine tune some things as we approach the conference championship in Atlanta."

The Herd will now take the next month to prepare for the Conference USA Championships in Atlanta, Ga. Competition will begin February 27 at the McCauley Center on Georgia Tech's campus.
