Women’s Tennis Dominates Singles on Day Two of Thunder in the Mountains

The Herd won five matches on Saturday
CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Marshall women's tennis continues action at Thunder in Mountains with doubles against Youngstown State in the morning and singles against Toledo in the afternoon on Saturday in Charleston.
"Anna was impressive again. Our two through four players did a good job staying with their matches. We got off to a slow start, but we picked it up as we went along," Marshall head coach John Mercer said about his team's day in singles. "We made some good adjustments, which was good to see. Kara (Joseph) played hard at five. She was doing exactly what we asked. She will continue to get better. It was a good day."
With doubles concluding on Saturday, the MU duo of Anna Smith and Daniela Dankanych won their match at the number positon on Saturday going 2-1 on the weekend in doubles.
The Herd took four of its five singles matches against Toledo. Smith, Dankanych and Madi Ballow won their matches on courts one, two and three, respectively, with Jutte Van Hansewyck picking up her first collegiate win on court four.
