Darius George scored 11 points and brought down a team-high eight rebounds in the win. The Staunton, Va., native has recorded double-figure scoring in back-to-back games to start the season and it's the third time in his career he's done so.
West's 211 steals see him sit fourth all-time among active players in collegiate men's basketball.
This is the fourth time under head coach Dan D'Antoni that Marshall has started the season 2-0.
A win on Wednesday would mark the first time since the 2011-12 season MU has won back-to-back non-conference road games since the 2011-12 season.
SCOUTING COLLEGE OF CHARLESTON
The Cougars are under the leadership of Earl Grant, who is in his seventh season in Charleston. CofC is 1-2 on the year falling at No. 16 North Carolina, defeating Limestone and is coming off a loss to Furman.
Charleston came into the season needing to replace the scoring load of Grant Riller. Riller averaged 21.9 points per game last season and was taken in the second round of the 2020 NBA Draft by the Charlotte Hornets.
Zep Jasper leads the Cougars in scoring this season with 14 points per game while bring down five rebounds per contest. Payton Willis, Dontavius King, and Brevin Galloway are all averaging over 10 points per contest as well.
