Traffic & Parking Updates
Through traffic will not be allowed on 20th Street after 10:30 a.m. this Saturday. The only cars allowed onto 20th Street after 10:30 a.m. are those parking in the West Lot.
Â
West Lot Parking: the main two entrances to the West Lot on 20th Street will remain open as they have in years past. Thunder Street will live between these two entrances.
4 1/2 Alley Parking: must enter from 22nd Street to travel back up the alley to your assigned parking spot. You will not be permitted to turn onto 20th Street and you will not be permitted to use the 20th Street entrance to 4 ½ Alley. All parking in the alley is reserved – you are not permitted to park in the assigned spots unless you have a reserved season parking pass. Your car will be towed if you are improperly parked in the alley.
Church Lot Parking: must enter directly off of 5th Avenue.
Â
A-Lot Parking: must enter from the alley behind Fat Patty's and the Henderson Center Tarmac.
Â
This is important: you must have a West Lot parking pass hanging from your mirror to turn onto 20th Street after 10:30 a.m. State police will be verifying your parking pass prior to turning onto 20th Street from 3rd or 5th Avenue to ensure you have the correct pass to park on the West Lot. If you do not have a West Lot parking pass, you must continue onto 3rd or 5th Avenue.
Â
This is more important: if you are traveling northbound on 20th Street (toward the stadium), you will not be permitted to go straight at the intersection of 20th Street and 5th Avenue. All cars on 20th Street will be forced to turn right onto 5th Avenue at this point. If this happens, you would be required to go down to 24th Street and turn left to travel up 3rd Avenue. Â In order to access the West Lot, you must be in the far-left lane of 5th Avenue to turn left onto 20th Street. The same is true traveling southbound on 20th Street (from WV Steel). You will not be permitted to go straight at the intersection of 3rd Avenue and 20th Street and you will be required to turn right.
Â
Please see the map at the top of the page and by clicking here for a detailed explanation of the updated traffic routes.
Â
20th Street will be cleared and re-opened to general traffic by halftime.
Â
As a reminder lots open for tailgating 6 hours prior to kick off.Â
