Marshall Tennis Falls at No. 14 Virginia

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Marshall women's tennis team (1-2) fell 7-0 to the No. 14 ranked Virginia Cavaliers (4-1) Friday at the Boar's Head Sports Club in Charlottesville, Va.

Doubles pair Madison Riley and Madi Ballow were the first to fall 6-3, in the doubles portion of the contest. They were followed by Liz Stefancic and Jutte Van Hansewyck giving the Cavilers their first point of the day.

The single portion of the competition never faired in the Herd's favor with all six members dropping their sets to the opponent.

Marshall women's tennis team competes at home Sunday Feb. 14 against Furman. The match is set for 11 a.m. The event will not be open to fans.
