Ferby to Join Marshall Women’s Basketball Program

Smyrna, Tennessee native to join Thundering Herd
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall women's basketball coach Tony Kemper announced Friday that Brianah Ferby will transfer from Austin Peay to the Thundering Herd for her final year of eligibility in 2021-22.
The 5'6" Smyrna, Tennessee native has played in 107 games with 58 starts for the Governors during her four seasons, averaging 7.7 points and 2.5 rebounds per contest.
Last season, she started 22 of 23 games and averaged 9.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, a team-high 2.3 assists and 2.0 steals (third in the Ohio Valley Conference) in 24.5 minutes of action. She scored in double figures in six consecutive games from January 25 to February 20, netting 13.7 points per outing.
"Bri is another great addition to our program," said Kemper. "She has valuable game experience over her career at Austin Peay and has shown a consistent ability to score the basketball. We will rely on those traits and more to help our team take another step forward."
Ferby is the second student-athlete to transfer to Marshall in as many weeks. Last week, the program announced the addition of 5'4" South Charleston native Aaliyah Dunham, who began her career at Xavier.
