Ninety Marshall Student-Athletes Earn C-USA’s Academic Medal

Herd has league’s third-highest total
DALLAS – Marshall Athletics boasted the league's third-highest total of Conference USA Academic Medal recipients when the numbers were released Thursday from Dallas.
The Thundering Herd had 90 who compiled a grade point average of 3.75 or higher, second only to Charlotte (109) and UAB (104).
Marshall's Men's Golf had five, more than any other men's golf program in the league, while the Thundering Herd's swimming and diving program led that sport with 17.
The Thundering Herd's tennis program tied a conference-high with seven.
On Wednesday, Marshall saw 271 selected to the league's Commissioner's Honor Roll.
