12 first-place finishes across two events
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University swimming and diving competed on Friday in a dual at Bowling Green and in a tri-meet against Bowling Green and Toledo on Saturday in Toledo, Ohio.
"This was a really productive weekend for our team," Herd swimming and diving head coach Ian Walsh said. "We are at the tail end of our fall training block and each of these women executed well within their races and dive lists. Traveling a smaller roster allowed many women to step up in places that they normally wouldn't have the opportunity to. The staff feels good about where we are and where we're headed as we prepare for our three-day competition at Purdue in two weeks."
Marshall had 12 first-place finishes across the two events, including six by Eszter Laban, two from Madeline Hart and Paige Banton, one by Mia McBribe and by the 400 Medley Relay team of Mia McBride, Paige Banton, Madeline Hart and Klava Katayama at the tri-meet.
