Marshall enters contest on three-game win streak
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University men's basketball team (12-2, 1-0 Sun Belt) closes out December and 2022 with a home matchup against the James Madison Dukes (10-4, 1-0 Sun Belt) on Saturday in the Cam Henderson Center at 2 p.m.

Marshall opened Sun Belt play with a 79-53 win over the App State Mountaineers on Thursday.
Freshman Micah Handlogten has 150 rebounds this season, third most in Division I men's basketball, while his 35 blocks rank eighth. Both marks lead the conference.
Fifth-year senior Taevion Kinsey is the only player in the country averaging at least 20 points, five rebounds and five assists. The Columbus, Ohio, native ranks ninth the country in points scored with 289 through 14 games.
At 3.29 three-point baskets made per game, junior Kamdyn Curfman leads the SBC and ranks 17th in the nation.
As a team, Marshall sits in the top 10 nationally in a few statistics as it leads the country in offensive rebounds per game (15.43), ranks second in rebounds per game (44.07), sixth in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.62) and in assists per game (19.5) and is ninth in blocks per game (5.8).
SCOUTING JMU
The Dukes come into the contest after taking its conference opener 63-47 in Atlanta over Georgia State.
JMU averages the most points in the country at 91.0 per game and averages the best scoring margin at 25.8. It's also second in NCAA Division I men's basketball in bench points per game at 37.14.
The Dukes have three student-athletes averaging 10 or more points per contest led by Vado Morse, who is averaging 13.2 points and team-best 2.6 assists per game. Morse's 42.2 shooting percentage from behind the arc leads the Sun Belt.
