Coach Smith Lyon to Appear at NFCA Portland Coaches Clinic

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall University softball head coach Megan Smith Lyon will be attending the NFCA Portland Coaches Clinic on January 20-21, 2023.
Smith Lyon will be hosting two clinics on Friday, January 20, with one seminar on Saturday, January 21 from the Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel in Oregon.
On Friday, Smith Lyon will host "Outfield Skills and Drills" from 1:50-2:35 p.m. local time. Later in the day, the quickest coach in softball program history for Marshall to reach 100 wins will host "Putting It All Together: Full Team Defensive Drills" from 7:00-7:45 p.m. local time.
On Saturday, Marshall's coach will host a seminar from 8:50-9:35 a.m. titled "Creating Dominant Corner Infielders."Â

The 2023 Thundering Herd softball season will get started February 10-12 at the Florida Spring Games in Leesburg, Florida.Â
