Marshall Softball Announces 2026 Fall Schedule

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Coming off its historic season and appearance in the NCAA Tournament, Marshall Softball has revealed its 2026 fall schedule as the team prepares for 2027.
The Herd will play games across nine dates, seven of which will come at home at Dot Hicks Field. All home contests will be 10 innings.
The first four contests will all be in Huntington, with the Herd hosting Fairmont State (Sept. 27), Morehead State (Oct. 2), Ohio (Oct. 4), and Miami (Ohio) (Oct. 9).
Coach Morgan Zerkle's side will travel to Lexington to face Kentucky (Oct. 17) and Transylvania the next day (Oct. 18).
MU will host Glenville State on October 23, before the program's 4th-annual Home Run Derby fundraiser on Saturday, October 24. More details will follow for the exciting event given the program set a single-season record of 95 home runs in 2026. A Green vs. Black Intrasquad scrimmage will follow the derby.
The fall wraps up with an October 30 contest against West Virginia State, with a Halloween Trick-or-Treat event to follow.
