Tennis Adds Four to 2022 Signing Class

Joksovic, Lopicic, Limanen, Strom join the Herd
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall University tennis head coach John Mercer announced four signings for the 2022-23 roster on Wednesday. Johnanna Storm, Andiela Lopicic, Doroteja Joksovic and Katy Limanen are set to join the Herd.
Johanna Strom
Stockholm, Sweden
Strom joins Marshall from Stockholm, Sweden. Her brother, Gustaf, plays tennis at the University of Arizona and was the PAC-12 Rookie of the Year in 2021. Storm is ranked 1818 in the ITF Women's world rankings and 504 in the Juniors world rankings. Her high in the Universal Tennis Rating in the last two years is 10.25.
Andjela Lopicic
Belgrade, Serbia
Lopicic is coached by her mother, Marija, and her sister, Jelena, plays collegiate tennis at the University of Northwestern Ohio. The native of Belgrade, Serbia, achieved an ITF Juniors world ranking of 685, while being ranked 1721 in the women's rankings. Has hit a high Universal Tennis Rating of 9.48 in the last two years.
Doroteja Joksovic
Belgrade, Serbia
Joksovic comes to Huntington from Belgrade, Serbia, and is transferring from Belgrade Banking Academy. The Serbian is ranked 255 in the ITF Juniors world rankings and 508 in the Women's world rankings. Joksovic is also ranked 1142 in the Women's Tennis Association rankings. Her in the Universal Tennis Rating is 10.96 in the last two years.
Katy Limanen
Hurricane, W.Va.
Limanen, from Hurricane, West Virignia, is a Junior Tennis product developed in Huntington. She is a West Virginia State Champion in singles and doubles. Limanen's high Universal Tennis Rating in the last two years is 6.25.
