Herd Softball Announces Fall Ball Schedule

Marshall will host eight games at Dot Hicks Field
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall University softball head coach Megan Smith Lyon has announced the 2022 softball fall schedule. All fall contests will be held at Dot Hicks Field in Huntington.
Marshall will host the Thundering Herd Fall Invitational on Saturday, October 8th. The Herd will face Davis & Elkins at 12:30 p.m. and West Virginia Tech at 3 p.m. The following day, Marshall will host the Thundering Herd Fall Festival, with a 12:30 p.m. first pitch against Potomac State, followed by a 3 p.m. tilt with West Virginia Wesleyan.
The following weekend, Coach Smith Lyon's side will host West Liberty on Saturday, October 15th. The doubleheader against WLU will start at noon. Marshall will close out the fall slate with the Thundering Herd October Invite the next day, Sunday, October 16th. Marshall hosts Glenville State at 12:30 p.m. and then University of Pikeville at 3 p.m.
