HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall University men's basketball senior guard Kamdyn Curfman and junior forward Obinna Anochili-Killen were each named to the 2023-24 Preseason All-Sun Belt Conference Second Team on Monday, as announced by the league office.

In Curfman's first season at Marshall, he started in all 32 of MU's contests averaging 11.5 points and 3.0 assists per game. The native of North Bethesda, Maryland led the SBC with a 40.4 three-point shooting percentage, 3.22 made threes per game and 103 total made threes. The then junior had 19 games of 10 or more points, including a season-high 21 at Texas State (Jan. 19) making seven of his nine attempts from long range. Curfman enters the season with second most threes made in his career among active players (374)

Like Curfman, Anochili-Killen started all 32 contests for The Herd averaging 8.7 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. The Nigerian forward made 48.9 percent of his shots from the field and registered 11 contests in double-figure scoring, including a season-high 18 against Georgia State on January 28. Anochili-Killen recorded a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds against Coppin State (Nov. 19) last season.
