HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Men's Basketball team (2-5) dropped its contest to the Miami University RedHawks (4-3), 79-74, Saturday night at the Cam Henderson Center. Nate Martin registered his fifth double-double of the season.

"We're obviously not a very good team," Herd men's basketball head coach Dan D'Antoni said after the contest. "There are a lot of things we need to straighten up. It starts with me. Somehow, we have to right the ship and get it right."
Â
The junior from Houston, Texas, scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for his double-double in the contest. Martin made four of his six shots from the field and went 6-for-7 from the free-throw line.
Â
Kamdyn Curfman and Kevon Voyles joined Martin in double-figure scoring with 13 and 10, respectively. Jacob Conner finished the game with 10 rebounds and nine points.

The Herd outrebounded the RedHawks 47-35, 15-6 on the offensive glass. MU turned those 15 boards into 13 second-chance points while holed Miami to no second-chance points.

Marshall also took the paint outscoring its opponent 28-24.

Marshall is back in action on Wednesday against Duquesne. Opening tip is set for 7 p.m. in the Cam Henderson Center.
