Herd S&D Named CSCAA Scholar All-America, Earned Best 2022 Fall Semester Division I GPA

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University swimming and diving team was named a 2022 Fall Semester CSCAA Scholar All-America Team after earning the best GPA in Division I swimming and diving with a 3.83 team GPA.
"Our staff is incredibly proud of the commitment and pride our student-athletes have in their approach to their academics," Herd swimming and diving head coach Ian Walsh said. "Performing at an elite level both athletically and academically is very demanding, but our women continue to find ways to elevate their performances in both areas."
Marshall had 16 student-athletes earn a 4.0 GPA, 25 finish with over a 3.5 GPA with all student-athletes earning at least 3.0 GPA.
"We could not accomplish this without our all our support staff in the Buck Harless Academic Center, specifically Kaylyn Torain. She has been an integral part of helping hold our women accountable, along with supporting them through her time, energy and effort when they needed it."
Marshall is back in action the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament beginning on February 15.
