Herd Tennis Season Ends in SBC Semifinals

Hurrion, Lopicic take singles matches
PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. – The sixth-seeded Marshall University tennis team (16-9) fell 4-2 on Saturday to the James Madison Dukes (15-7) in the 2023 Sun Belt Conference Tournament Semifinals in Peachtree City, Georgia.
"Congrats to JMU. It's been quite the experience being in the SBC for the first year. We look forward to competing in our new conference next year," Herd tennis head coach John Mercer said.
After dropping the singles point to the Dukes, Sophia Hurrion started singles with a straight-sets win over Hope Moulin on court six. Hurrion captured her third singles win at the conference tournament.
Andjela Lopicic then took her singles contest over Ines Oliveira 6-3, 6-0, on court five.
