Herd Swimming and Diving Again Leads Division I in Team GPA

MU notches 3.87 team GPA in Spring 2023; earns Scholar All-America Team accolades from CSCAA
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – For the second straight semester, Marshall's swimming and diving program led all Division I in Team Grade Point Average, as released by College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America on Tuesday.
Marshall finished the Spring 2023 semester with a 3.87 Team GPA, which also earned the program the distinction of being a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team.
"We are incredibly proud of our student-athletes and the Buck Harless staff for their support in our pursuit of excellence," Marshall swimming and diving coach Ian Walsh said. "Our program had a wonderful semester athletically and academically, and we have raised the standard in both those areas. It takes a village, and we are grateful for the support from our administration, all the support staff, and our beloved alumni and friends of our program."
The announcement continued Marshall's stance atop the Division I ranks in Team GPA. In Fall 2022, Marshall also had the highest GPA among Division I teams, achieving a 3.83 GPA
