Herd Tennis Takes Home Several ITA Academic Awards

Named ITA All-Academic Team, six ITA Scholar-Athletes

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University tennis team brought home several ITA academic awards this week. The Herd was named an ITA All-Academic Team and had six student-athletes named ITA Scholar-Athletes.

Marshall's six ITA Scholar-Athletes were Gabrielle Clairotte, Kylie Fisher, Ruby Fraser, Rieke Gillar, Sophia Hurrion and Doroteja Joksovic.

To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, the student-athlete must have maintained at least a 3.5 GPA during the academic year.

MU tennis maintained a 3.419 GPA during the year above the threshold of a 3.2 needed to be named an ITA All-Academic Team.
