Fans First Timeline Revealed For Saturday’s Football Game

Herd fans can experience Thunder Walk, Fan Fest, New Video Board
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Athletics is excited to open its doors to fans for the first game of the 2023 Marshall Football season on Saturday, Sept. 1.
There are several events planned as part of the Fans First initiative for Saturday's contest against Albany.
Here is a look at Saturday's timeline:
3:30 p.m.: Thunder Walk
- The Thunder Walk starts at the north gate of the West Lot off 20th Street. Fans are welcome to join the line and cheer on Marshall's Football team as they make their way into Joan C. Edwards Stadium for the first time this season. There will be 100 envelopes handed out to kids at the Thunder Walk. One lucky young fan will get to be the Kickoff Kid and grab the kickoff tee for one kick during the game.
3:45 p.m.: Fan Fest
- After the Thunder Walk, fans can head to Fan Fest, located beside the Marshall University Rec Center. Fan Fest will have several activities for fans to enjoy that will build excitement leading up to the kickoff. Some of the events planned for Fan Fest include:
o Autographs with Marshall fall sport athletes
o Inflatables
o Music
o Food Truck
o Snow Cones
o Much More!
5:40 p.m.: Unveiling of New Video Board
- The highly-anticipated new video board project is complete and ready for fans to enjoy. We invite all fans to make their way to their seats by 5:40 p.m. so we can all share in the excitement as the video board comes to life at Joan C. Edwards Stadium.
