HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University volleyball team (8-6) welcomes the Old Dominion Monarchs (7-6) for the team's Sun Belt Conference opening weekend Friday and Saturday.

PRE-MATCH NOTES

The Herd is coming off a 3-0 weekend, capturing the Southern Utah/Utah Tech Invitational title.
MU ranks sixth in the nation with 822 digs as Peyton Neal ranks seventh in the conference with 161.
Marshall sits 13th nationally, second in the SBC, with a total of 654 kills.
Brynn Brown had a pair of double-doubles last weekend bringing her to three this season tied for second in the country.

ABOUT OLD DOMINION

The Monarchs sport a 7-6 record after going 2-1 last weekend at the Mountaineer Invitational defeating WVU and Robert Morris in straight sets.
Prior to Thursday's contest, ODU takes on Liberty Tuesday night in Norfolk, Virginia.
Old Dominion ranks eighth and a top the Sun Belt with 120 blocks.
