CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Marshall University Tennis Team concluded day one action at the CofC Classic on Friday in Charleston, South Carolina.

"Much better second singles. I think we made some good progress. Two very good wins for Sophia," Herd Tennis Head Coach John Mercer said.

Sophia Hurrion picked up singles victories over College Southern's Noa Boyd in three sets (7-6, 0-6, 1-0 (10-8)) and College of Charleston's Jason McKee in straight sets, 6-2, 7-5.

Nel Van Hout also picked up a win over College of Charleston's Harper Santos 7-6, 7-5, in straight sets.
