Marshall Women Host JMU For Saturday Showdown

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - With a 10-0 record in the Sun Belt Conference, Marshall's women's basketball team (16-5) hosts JMU (15-7, 7-3 SBC) Saturday at 1 p.m. from the Cam Henderson Center.

PRE-GAME NOTES

Following Thursday's games, Marshall leads the Sun Belt Conference in scoring offense (85.4 PPG), steals per game (13.1), three-pointers per game (10.4), turnover margin (7.05), and turnovers forced per game (23.29).
The Herd's Abby Beeman is ranked 9th in the nation with 130 assists this season. Her 6.2 assists per game are most in the SBC.
Saturday's game will be the final regular season home Saturday game for Marshall.

ABOUT JMU

Since meeting the Herd last week, the Dukes have split their two games, defeating App State last Saturday, 78-61, before falling to Georgia State, 82-72 on Wednesday.
Preseason All-SBC Second Team member Peyton McDaniel remains the team-leader with 13.9 PPG. The redshirt-sophomore entered the game on Jan. 24 as the team's leading rebounder, but Marshall remarkably held McDaniel without a board in that contest.
The Dukes are 4-4 away from home in 2023-24. All-time, JMU holds a 3-1 record in Huntington
