PRE-GAME NOTES
- Marshall's "Magic Number" to clinch the SBC regular season trophy is one. Over the course of its final two games, the Herd needs one win or one loss from second-place Troy to secure the outright title. The full standings can be found HERE.
- The Herd's has won five regular season titles in history, all in consecutive seasons from 1985-89 in the Southern Conference. MU's last conference tournament title came in the 1997 SoCon Championship. That win secured the Marshall women's lone NCAA Tournament appearance in history.
- Coach Caldwell has already secured the most wins by a first-year head coach in program history (previously 15 in the 1992-93 season by Coach Sarah Evans-Moore). Caldwell met with the media Monday, which can be viewed HERE.
