HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Men's basketball head coach Cornelius Jackson announced the addition of Jalen Speer to the 2024-25 roster on Wednesday.
"We couldn't be more excited to have Jalen join our Marshall Men's Basketball family," Jackson said. "Jalen is a talented two-way guard who brings experience, scoring and playmaking ability. He will be a tremendous asset to our program. We can't wait to have him join us in Huntington this summer."
Speer comes to Marshall having averaged double-figure points in his four seasons of college basketball. Last season at Florida A&M, he led the Rattlers with 15.5 points and 4.0 assists per game to go with 3.4 rebounds per contest. Speer shot 43.6 percent from the field, including 38.8 percent from three-point range.
The native of Gainesville, Florida, was named to the 2020-21 MEAC All-Freshman Team.
Speer has one year of eligibility remaining as he joins The Herd.
