Marshall Athletics Announces ‘Fan Of The Year’ Initiative

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Athletics has announced a new 'Fan of the Year' contest geared toward rewarding those who show their loyalty to all Thundering Herd programs.
In addition to bragging rights as the Herd's top fan, the winner receives the following:
- Season-Long Football Parking Pass
- Framed certificate presentation from Marco
- Custom framed Marshall Football jersey
- Marshall gear pack
"Passionate fans have always been at the forefront of what makes Marshall Athletics special!" said Ryan Crisp, Marshall's Associate Athletic Director for Annual Giving, Ticket Sales and Fan Engagement. "As a part of our 'Fans First, Fans Forever' initiative, we are proud to launch the 'Fan of the Year' contest to showcase and honor our devoted fans. We can't wait to see who earns the distinction of Marshall's 'Fan of the Year!'"
Starting with the Fall 2024 events and continuing throughout the 2024-25 sports seasons, the Fan of the Year will be determined through a points-based system powered by the HerdZone app.
Fans will utilize the app to check into Marshall sporting events, which will earn them points throughout the entire year. The fan that accumulates the most points throughout the 2024-25 year will be the 'Fan of the Year' for the 2025-26 sports season and receive the prize pack.

The 'Fan of the Year' initiative is one of many exciting, interactive enhancements that are set to begin in the 2024-25 year.
