STATESBORO, Ga. – The Marshall University Men's Basketball team (13-9, 6-3 SBC) used its second straight second-half comeback to take down Georgia Southern (11-10, 4-5 SBC), 71-67, Saturday afternoon in Statesboro, Georgia. The victory puts The Herd on a three-game winning streak, all on the road, it returns to Huntington for three home games beginning Thursday against Georgia State.

"We have three road wins, now we're back home for three," Herd Men's Basketball Head Coach Corny Jackson said as the team returns to Huntington after a four-game road stretch. "I told them (our guys) before the game, and I'm going to challenge everyone back home. I told these guys if you want a packed house at your next home game, win this game, and they came out. I think they made a statement by doing that. Now we need to make the Cam Henderson Center one of the rowdiest, loudest, crowds in the Sun Belt."

MU had four reach double-figure scoring for the fourth consecutive contest, led by 16 from Jalen Speer, 14 coming in the second half. The Gainesville, Florida, native made six of his 10 shots from the field, with a pair from long range and both of his free throws.
