HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Men's Basketball team (13-9, 6-3 SBC) is set to host the Georgia State Panthers (7-14, 3-6 SBC) Thursday and the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (8-13, 1-8 SBC) Saturday as part of a three-game homestand.
Opening tip against GSU is set for 7 p.m. with a 4 p.m. start time against the Chanticleers.

- Marshall returns home on a three-game winning streak after playing it previous four contests on the road.
- Jalen Speer was named the Sun Belt Men's Basketball Player of the Week on Tuesday. The graduate student sits atop the league in three-point shooting percentage (33.2 percent) and made triples (34) in conference games.
- At 56 blocks on the season, Obinna Anochili-Killen ranks third in the country in rejections. The native of Lagos, Nigeria, is averaging 2.67 blocks per game.
ABOUT THE PANTHERS
- Georgia State makes a return trip to Huntington after falling to The Herd 92-79 last Thursday in Atlanta.
- At 126 makes from the field, Ceaser Edwards leads the SBC as he averages a team-high 14.9 points per game.
- Nick McMullen ranks second in the Sun Belt in rebounds per game (10.0) and double-doubles (8).
ABOUT THE CHANTICLEERS
- Coastal Carolina enters the week on a six-game losing streak after falling at Georgia Southern and Old Dominion last week. CCU has a contest at JMU on Thursday before coming to Huntington.
- The Chanticleers fell to The Herd 77-64 on January 18 in Conway, South Carolina, in the teams' first matchup of the season.
- Coastal has the third-best three-point defense in the conference holding opponents to 30.7 percent from behind the arc.
