Marshall’s Xander Karagosian To Attend 2026 NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar

Prestigious professional development opportunity takes place at NCAA headquarters Jan. 28-30
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall's Xander Karagosian, the Executive Assistant to the Director of Athletics, has been selected to attend the 2026 NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar.
This prestigious event geared toward professional development and networking is scheduled for Jan. 28-30, 2026 at the NCAA headquarters in Indianapolis, Ind.
"We are very excited for Xander to have this opportunity to engage with other emerging leaders from across intercollegiate athletics," said Gerald J. Harrison, Marshall's Vice President and Director of Athletics. "One of the key pillars of 'The Herd Mentality' is to 'Honor the Journey' in which we commit to the personal growth and pursuit of the fullest potential for our student athletes and our staff, and this incredible event with the NCAA will help his growth both professionally and personally. We are thankful to the NCAA for selecting Xander to be part of this event."
The NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar is an annual professional development event providing effective leadership, educational and transitional programming for more than 200 attendees from NCAA membership institutions, conference offices and affiliate organizations.
Applications for the event were taken from Sept. 5 to Oct. 10 and Karagosian's application was selected by the NCAA Leadership Development staff from among hundreds of applicants, based on the application's scoring criterium, which included six different categories: Commitment, Contribution, Leadership/Willingness to Learn, Industry Acumen, Communication and Experience.
At the 2026 NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar, Karagosian will engage in three days of breakout sessions and groupthink with those from the campus, conference and national sectors of collegiate athletics to study some of the issues impacting the NCAA today while gaining a forward-thinking perspective from those in position to become the NCAA's leaders for tomorrow.
The theme for the 2026 NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar is "The Takeoff: Take Up Space!".
