HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Men's Basketball team (7-4) opens Sun Belt Conference action on the road against the defending Sun Belt Conference Tournament Champion Troy Trojans on Saturday. Opening tip in Troy, Alabama, is set for 2 p.m. EST/1 p.m. CST.

PRE-GAME NOTES
- The Herd won a nailbiter over Wright State 76-74 on Saturday, overcoming a seven-point halftime deficit.
- Marshall ranks 13th nationally and leads the SBC at 5.9 blocks per game. The team also leads the conference in three-point shooting percentage at 35.8 percent from behind the arc while making 9.8 per contest.
- Matt Van Komen sits fourth in the country with 35 blocks and tied for third at 3.18 per game.
- At 64 assists and 5.8 per game, Jalen Speer leads the Sun Belt and ranks in the top 35 in both categories in the country.

- Troy enters with a 7-5 record and on a two-game winning streak after an 86-85 win at UAB on Sunday.

- Thomas Dowd has a conference-best six double-doubles this season averaging 15.3 points and 10.4 rebounds per game, 11th most in the country.
