Kelsheimer, Luniushina Sweep SBC S&D Weekly Awards a Third Time

NEW ORLEANS – Marshall University Swimming and Diving senior diver Grace Kelsheimer and freshman swimmer Kseniia Luniushina combined to sweep the Sun Belt Weekly awards for a third time this season on Thursday, as announced by the league office. Kelsheimer earned her seventh SBC Diver of the Week honor with Luniushina notching her fifth swimmer of the week award.

The duo had a record-breaking weekend for The Herd against Georgia Southern in a win on Senior Day. Kelsheimer took the 3m Dive with a NCAA Diving Zones qualifying score of 295.65 and followed with a Fitch Natatorium record of 310.50 in the 1m Dive.

Luniushina was a member of winning 400 Medley Relay leading off the event by setting the pool, program, and Sun Belt record with the time of 53.16 in the 100 Backstroke. The East Storudsburg, Pennsylvania, native won the 50 Freestyle with a time of 23.25 and followed with a win in the 200 Backstroke, setting a Pool Record of 1:58.61.

Luniushina then closed out the event as a member of winning 200 Freestyle Relay, splitting a 23.50 in the third position.
