PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Marshall University senior diver Grace Kelsheimer finished her historic career at Zone A NCAA Diving Zones on Tuesday in Piscataway, New Jersey.
Â
"Grace has had an absolutely incredible diving career, and I could not be prouder of her!" Herd Diving Coach Megan Griswold about Kelsheimer after her final event. "Grace was one of a whole host of tough competitors and continued to stand out dive after dive. She fought hard and continued to push herself all season long, claiming the gold medal on 1 meter at the 2025 Sun Belt Conference Championships, and placing 16th in the 2025 NCAA Zone A 1 Meter Diving Finals and getting 28th on 3m!"
Â
On Tuesday, the native of Westlake, Ohio, competed in the 1m Diving event. Kelsheimer advanced to the final after finishing in 12th out of 79 competitors in prelims with a score of 267.40.
Â
Then in the final Kelsheimer added 265.15 points across her final six dives in the final to finish in 16th place out of 18 finalists with a score of 532.55.
Â
On Monday, she finished 28th out of 71 competitors in the 3m with a score of 265.15 for the highest finish in program history in Zones on the 3m boards.
Â
"I have loved being able to coach her these four years, and watch her grow as an athlete and competitor, a leader, and a woman of extraordinary character," Griswold continued about Kelsheimer. "I'm sad that this part of her journey has come to a close, but so excited to see where her next adventure leads her! I know regardless of where that is, the world around her will be better for it."
