HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Men's Basketball Team (13-7, 5-3 SBC) earned a 115-60 win on Thursday over ULM as the Herd erupted for 65 first-half points and a SBC and program record 26 made threes in the Cam Henderson Center.

"Maybe we should play all our games at Noon," Herd Men's Basketball Head Coach Cornelius 'Corny' Jackson said after the game was moved twice during the week. "Proud of these guys. Proud of everyone contributing. We've talked all year about this team and shooting ability. These guys can really shoot the basketball. Today's pretty much the first day we've had everyone on. We've been waiting for this moment."

Marshall wasted no time asserting control, using a blistering start and relentless shooting to seize momentum from the opening tip. The Herd unleashed a historic offensive onslaught, connecting on a historic 26-of-52 shots from distance.

Wyatt Fricks powered Marshall's attack, pouring in 13 points on 6-of-10 shooting, including three triples, and adding four assists. Off the bench, Wilson Dubinsky added a spark, scoring a game-high 17 points and grabbing seven rebounds in just 17 minutes.

Matt Van Komen added 11 points and seven boards, Caleb Hollenbeck tallied 15 points on five triples with Jalen Speer at 16 points and six assists. Landen Joseph rattled off 12 points coming off the bench for six double-figure scorers with a game- and career-high seven assists.

Marshall's bench was pivotal, outscoring ULM's reserves 22-6 in the opening half. The team's ball movement was crisp and unselfish with 15 assists on 23 made field goals, and the Herd shot a blistering 62.2 percent from the field, with 29 on 41 makes and shooting 53.9 percent from the field.

After a season-high 65 points in the first half, MU outscored the Warhawks 50-24 in the second and held ULM to just 28.8 percent from the field (17-of-59).

The Herd also dominated the glass 54-27, the most since grabbing 53 boards against Coastal Carolina on January 7, 2023, and 19-11 on the offensive end.

Marshall saw three players reject at least three shots with Van Komen at four, Fricks at three and Erich Harding at three.
