Marshall’s first three-time conference player of the week since Kristina Behnfeldt in 1999

NEW ORLEANS – For the third time this season, Timaya Lewis-Eutsey has been voted the Sun Belt Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week by the conference office on Tuesday. The award follows her career-best 36-point performance against Central Michigan in the MAC-SBC Challenge Saturday.

Lewis-Eutsey additionally had a season-best eight steals Saturday. Her 95 swipes lead the league by a sizable margin, with 3.7 steals per contest. Only one other player in the conference is averaging three or more steals a game.

She is Marshall's first three-time conference player of the week in the same season since Kristina Behnfeldt in 1998-99.

As a team, Marshall is experiencing its 2nd 20-win season in 3 years, a mark clinched in Saturday's victory. The Herd can tie for its 3rd most wins in a single-season (21) with a win on Thursday.

A feat to not be taken lightly, 2025-26 is Marshall's 3rd 20-win season in the last 35 years and its 7th in program history.
