HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall University Men's Basketball forward Wyatt Fricks was named to the 2025-26 All-Sun Belt Conference First-Team and Jalen Speer to the Second-Team on Tuesday as announced by the league office on Monday.
 
Fricks, a native of Lawrenceville, Georgia, averaged 15.6 points and 5.6 rebounds per game to go with 45 blocks in 31 games with 30 starts. The forward tallied double-figure scoring in 24 contests, with 8 games of 20 or more including a career-high 34 against Elon on November 12. Fricks also registered three double-doubles including one against Miami (OH) with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
 
Speer, a native of Gainesville, Florida, led the team with 15.7 points per game and the Sun Belt with 170 assists, 27th most in the country, starting in all 31 of the Herd's games. The guard tallied 23 games of at least 10 points with nine of at least 20 with a career-high 39 at Coastal Carolina (Feb. 21). Speer also had at least five assists in 19 games with 10 or more in three, including a career-high 12 against Elon (Nov. 12).
 
Marshall enters the 2026 SBC Tournament as the number-two seed with a bye into the semifinals set for Sunday in Pensacola, Florida.
