HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Athletics and the Big Green Scholarship Foundation announced on Friday that Lisa Lucas has been named the Director of Annual Giving for the Big Green.
Lucas ascends into the role after excelling as the Director of Donor Relations and Special Projects for the Big Green in previous months.
"We are thrilled to welcome Lisa Lucas to the Big Green as Director of Annual Giving," said Teddy Kluemper III, Senior Associate Athletic Director for Championship Resources and Executive Director of the Big Green Scholarship Foundation. "Lisa brings a strong commitment to stewardship and engagement, and we're excited for the leadership and vision she will bring as we continue to grow and strengthen our annual giving programs. Her knowledge and experience will simply make us better in all areas."
In her new role, Lucas will manage and execute all areas of the Marshall Athletic Fund, including the planning and implementation of strategic outreach and engagement while handling all communications to donors, data management and prospecting for the Big Green Scholarship Foundation.
Lucas will also serve as the liaison to the Big Green Board of Directors and assist the Big Green in developing rapport geared toward maximizing the procurement of funds that go to assist Marshall's student-athletes for their academic and athletic futures while they represent the Thundering Herd on the field and in the community.
All of these responsibilities are key components of success for strengthening bonds with donors and building the foundation's annual support.
Lucas brings decades of experience in donor relations, quality and operations leadership and environmental compliance across many different business and nonprofit sectors.
The 1995 Marshall graduate brings an extensive background in public servitude and solution-based leadership to the position.
Prior to joining Marshall in December 2025, Lucas spent 15 months as Quality Manager and Environmental Manager for PureCycle Technologies after 11 years at Braskem America in similar roles.
Lucas also spent 18 years with Sun Chemical in Wurtland, Ky., filling a variety of roles in the areas of Quality Control, Safety and Production Management.
