CONWAY, S.C. – The Marshall University Tennis team (10-9) dropped a narrow 4-3 decision on Friday afternoon to Coastal Carolina on Friday in Conway, South Carolina.

The Herd started strong in doubles. After a loss at number three, Johanna Strom and Alina Mokrynska picked up a 6-2 win at number one. Sarah Copley and Nour El Ouazzani then sealed the doubles point with a 6-2 win at number two.

After falling at three, one and two singles contests, Thalia Smith picked up a 7-5, 6-2, straight-set win at number six as Copley followed with a three-set triumph to even the score 3-3.

The Chanticleers took the match with a win at number five singles to close it out.
