Marshall Athletics representatives visit all 17 Cabell Co. elementary schools to cheer on kids returning for 2026-27 school year
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Athletics teams, players and administrators were on-hand at all 17 Cabell County Elementary Schools on Tuesday, welcoming back their youngest fans as they prepare for the 2026-27 school year.
Marshall Athletics representatives greeted students with new folders, water bottles and other goodies to help get them prepared for the start of school on Wednesday.
The 'Welcome Back' initiative promotes the Herd Mentality, which is Honoring The Journey, Engaging With Purpose, Rising With Innovation and Dedicating To Others.
In addition to promoting the Herd Mentality, this initiative also builds mentorship between Marshall Athletics' student-athletes and the youth in Huntington that look up to the players.
