HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – After listening to feedback from Thundering Herd fans and season ticket holders throughout the offseason, Marshall Athletics has announced a series of enhancements to the Big Green Room inside Joan C. Edwards Stadium for the 2026 football season.
The improvements include a complete renovation of the space, an elevated gameday setup, updated access procedures designed to preserve the premium experience, and the introduction of the new Big Green Buffet – an all-you-can-eat dining experience available exclusively to Chairback ticket holders.
The enhancements continue Marshall Athletics' commitment to investing in the fan experience while creating additional value for fans who choose the premium Chairback seating.
"Throughout the offseason, we've spent a lot of time listening to our fans and asking what would make their game-day experience better," said Marshall Vice President and Director of Athletics Gerald Harrison. "The feedback was clear—they wanted a more comfortable, more premium space to gather before and during the game, additional food options and an overall upgraded experience. These enhancements are a direct result of those conversations, and we're excited to continue delivering the kind of experience our fans deserve."
A Completely Refreshed Big Green Room
Fans entering the Big Green Room this fall will notice a dramatically updated space designed to provide a more comfortable and welcoming hospitality environment.
Renovations include:
- Fresh paint and updated finishes
- New flooring throughout the room
- Updated Marshall branding and wall graphics
- New lettering and décor
- An enhanced game-day layout designed to improve comfort and flowÂ
The refreshed Big Green Room remains the premier indoor hospitality space inside Joan C. Edwards Stadium, offering Chairback ticket holders a climate-controlled place to gather before kickoff and throughout the game.
Introducing the Big Green Buffet
New for the 2026 football season, Marshall Athletics is introducing the Big Green Buffet, an optional premium dining experience available exclusively to Chairback ticket holders.
For $49.99 per person, per game, fans can enjoy:
- An all-you-can-eat buffet
- Select non-alcoholic beverages
- Service beginning one hour before kickoff through the start of the third quarter
Prepared by Marshall Athletics' hospitality partner, Sodexo, each home game will feature a unique menu with specialty items not available at public concession stands, giving fans something new to enjoy throughout the season.
Protecting the Premium Experience
To ensure the best possible experience for fans who purchase Chairback seating, access to the Big Green Room will now be reserved exclusively for Chairback ticket holders.
Tickets will be verified upon entry throughout each game, helping preserve the premium atmosphere and amenities available inside the Big Green Room.
Upgrade Your Game Day
Chairback seating continues to provide one of the premier football experiences at Joan C. Edwards Stadium.Â
In addition to some of the stadium's most comfortable seating locations, Chairback ticket holders receive exclusive access to the Big Green Room, including:
- Indoor, climate-controlled hospitality space

- Dedicated concessions
- A comfortable gathering space before kickoff and throughout the game
- Eligibility to purchase the Big Green Room Buffet
Chairback Season Tickets are available for $625 per seat, which includes a $325 season ticket and a $300 per-seat contribution to the Big Green Scholarship Foundation.
Fans looking to experience the premium amenities for an individual game can purchase single-game Chairback tickets starting at $100, which include access to the Big Green Room and the opportunity to purchase the Big Green Buffet.
