Marshall Athletics Hosts Fan Day on August 9

Free Sunday event at Joan C. Edwards Stadium allows fans to meet Herd teams
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Athletics invites fans of all ages to help us kick off the 2026-27 athletic season at Fan Day from 5-7 p.m. on Aug. 9 at Joan C. Edwards Stadium.
The free community event gives fans the opportunity to meet Marshall student-athletes, collect autographs, take photos and enjoy an evening full of interactive activities, family entertainment and gameday excitement.
Fans will have the opportunity to meet members of the football, volleyball, cross country, cheer and dance programs. Student-athletes will be available for autographs, photos and handshakes throughout the evening.
In addition to meeting the teams, fans can participate in interactive activities on the field, including:
- Football running back drill
- Volleyball interactive net
- Soccer mini goals
- Cross Country 40-yard dash challenge
Fan Day will also feature a variety of family-friendly entertainment, including inflatables, face painting, balloon animals, magic and more.
Marshall Athletics will once again host a School Supply Drive during Fan Day. Fans who donate school supplies will receive one complimentary ticket to Marshall's football game against South Alabama while supplies last.
Fans can also:
- Explore a preview of the new Dough Daddy's Kids Zone.
- Sign up for the Marshall Kids Club and participate in a "Design a T-Shirt" contest.
- Learn more about Marshall Football season tickets and Big Green membership opportunities.
- Receive complimentary bottled water, courtesy of GoMart.
- Enjoy a complimentary beverage for fans 21 and older, courtesy of Thundering Beverage. Valid ID required.
- Visit the Marshall Team Store, which will serve as the main entrance into the stadium.
- Purchase food from a food truck located outside the Team Store.
Fan Day is free and open to the public and offers Herd fans their first opportunity to experience the excitement of the upcoming athletic season while creating lasting memories with Marshall student-athletes.
