HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Go-Mart has been named as the 'Official Convenience Store of Marshall Athletics' following the announcement of a comprehensive partnership extension between the two parties on Friday.

The multi-year agreement includes the first-ever on-field logo placement at Joan C. Edwards Stadium, creating a historic branding opportunity inside one of the Sun Belt Conference's premier football venues – one of many ways Go-Mart expanded its presence across Marshall Athletics.

"We are proud to welcome Go-Mart as the presenting sponsor of the game field at Joan C. Edwards Stadium," said Gerald J. Harrison, Marshall's Vice President and Director of Athletics. "Strengthening our relationships with valued companies like Go-Mart is an important part of our Plan on a Page and our vision for the future of Marshall Athletics. I am thankful for Go-Mart's continued partnership and its investment in helping us make Game Day in Huntington a special experience for our student-athletes, fans and the entire Herd community."

The high-profile fan engagement, branding and sponsorship activations included in the agreement include Go-Mart also becoming the presenting sponsor of the Go-Mart West Lot, Marshall's premier football tailgating destination on gamedays as thousands of fans "Go for good times" to cheer on the Herd.

Go-Mart will receive premium television-visible LED signage across Marshall football and men's basketball broadcasts while also serving as the 2027 season's presenting sponsor of Marshall Baseball. As part of the agreement, Go-Mart will also receive a broad range of additional experiential opportunities across various mediums designed to connect the Go-Mart brand and Herd Nation throughout the year.

"Go-Mart has built its business on serving the people and communities of West Virginia, making this expanded partnership with Marshall Athletics a natural fit," said Phil Shuman, President, Go-Mart, Inc. "We're happy to partner with Marshall to become the 'Official Convenience Store of Marshall Athletics' and look forward to enhancing the fan experience while supporting the student-athletes, traditions and community impact that defines the Thundering Herd."

The agreement between Marshall Athletics and Go-Mart was facilitated by Learfield with collaboration between Thundering Herd Sports Properties, the local Learfield team, and the company's commercial partnership team. The agreement will leverage a wide range of multimedia rights assets to engage fans across gamedays, digital platforms and community initiatives.

"This partnership underscores the value of aligning strong regional brands with the passion and reach of Marshall Athletics," said Will Smith, General Manager of Thundering Herd Sports Properties. "We're proud to help bring together two organizations with deep roots in the communities they serve to create a partnership that delivers value for fans and both organizations."

Fans will get their first look at the Go-Mart logo on the field at Joan C. Edwards Stadium in the 2026 home opener against Middle Tennessee on Sept. 12. This game is also the annual Hall of Fame Game for Marshall Athletics. To buy tickets to the game, click HERE.
