Peyton Ilderton

Peyton Ilderton joined Marshall University in June 2026 as the Assistant Director of Women’s Basketball Operations.
A former four-year letterwinner for the Thundering Herd, she was part of the 2025–2026 WNIT Championship team and earned the Kay Yow Servant Leader Award. Ilderton appeared in 121 games as a member of the Herd, making her one of the most tenured players in Marshall history.
Ilderton also played on Marshall’s 2023–2024 Sun Belt Regular Season and Tournament Championship team, which culminated with the team's first NCAA appearance since 1997.
Before transitioning into her operations role, Ilderton served as an instructor with Marshall Women’s Basketball Camps, providing on-court instruction, leading off-court activities and assisting with game management.
The Logan, W.Va., native is also active in community engagement, volunteering with organizations such as Springhill Elementary Outreach and the Facing Hunger Food Bank.
Ilderton earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Science with a minor in Pre-Professional Health Studies from Marshall University in May 2026.
