Scaggs Family Practice Facility was dedicated on Oct. 19, 2023, in honor of Wyatt and Kristi Scaggs, who have been dedicated ambassadors to Marshall Athletics for decades. The floor within the practice facility is known as Neal and Jo Ann Scaggs Court in honor of the parents of Wyatt Scaggs, further honoring the Logan-based family whose contributions to Marshall Athletics date back to the 1950s. The Scaggs Family Practice Facility was part of a bigger Champions Pathway project within the All 'M' Campaign, which was part of $70 million in renovations to the university's athletics facilities. As part of this project, the Champions Pathway spelled out the words "The Herd Way" which used the letters contained within that phrase to highlight core values of Marshall Athletics while highlighting success within athletics for all teams. The Champions Pathway is the stretch that connects Cam Henderson Center - the home for Marshall Basketball and Volleyball - with Scaggs Family Practice Facility, which is the practice home for those programs while also serving as a key training and camp location for all programs.
