Marshall quarterback Byron Leftwich was named Mid-American Conference East Division Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against Central Michigan.
Leftwich completed 30 of 44 passes for a career-high 471 yards and also set a new school record for total offense in a game with 495 yards. His 86-yard touchdown pass to Josh Davis in the game was a career-best as well.
This is the second time this season for Leftwich to win the weekly award. He was also recognized for his performance against Bowling Green on Sept. 29.
