Women's Soccer to Face Ball State Friday

The Marshall University women?s soccer team will continue its fight to break into the top of the Mid-American Conference Friday, Oct 5, at Sam Hood Field. The team will face off against Ball State University at 7:00 p.m.
Marshall?s women are 5-4-0 overall and 2-2-0 in the MAC coming into Friday night?s contest. Ball State is 8-2-0 overall and has an identical conference record to the Herd. The two teams are ranked seventh and eighth, respectively, in the conference.
The Thundering Herd currently leads the conference in points, assists and is second in goals. The team also leads the league in goals against average, allowing only six goals in nine matches for an average of .67 goals per game.
The first 50 Marshall students to enter the match will be given free t-shirts. The Herd plays again Sunday, Oct. 7, at 1:00 against Central Michigan in Mt. Pleasant.
